La Bohéme
July 7, 2018 @ 8:00 pm - July 8, 2018 @ 12:00 am
Perhaps one of the greatest, yet tragic love stories of all time, Giacomo Puccini’s, La Bohéme is the passionate and timeless tale of romance and loss.
We are privileged to be staging a performance of this moving opera in our atmospheric candlelit venue with Opera D’Amore, featuring a stellar cast who have performed Internationally as well as with English National Opera, Glyndebourne and The Royal Opera House.
Bringing the timeline from the 1830s to 1920s Bohemian Paris where poverty is rife; the story will unfold around the audience in four acts. Re-live the events of poet Rodolfo, artist Marcello, philosopher Colline and musician Schaunard lives, and the romance that develops between neighbour Mimi and Rodolfo, that has sweet beginnings but ultimately leads to devastation.
Enjoy a wonderful two course dinner by candlelight and experience up close the cast performing around you while they use our whole restaurant as their canvas. This is a very rare and unique opportunity to witness a major production of one of the world’s most popular operas in such intimate surroundings.
